October 1 is World Vegetarian Day!  It kicks off World Vegetarian Awareness Month, and what better way to celebrate than with a 4-course vegan gourmet meal among friends new and old. 
 
6:30 PM - Arrive, check-in, socialize
7:00 PM - Chef Amy Swanson introduces the menu
7:10 PM - Dinner begins
 
MENU - using the freshest locally grown ingredients available.       
 
* Lentil & Swiss Chard Soup with Tri-color Peppers
 
* Salad of Spinach, Green Apples, Roasted Carrots & Spiced Pumpkin Seeds, dressed with a Maple-Dijon Vinaigrette
 
* Sweet Potato Gnocchi with a Browned Vegan "Butter" and Sage Sauce
 
* Vegan Chocolate-Hazelnut Layer Cake
 
Served with Sparkling Pear Juice

No animal ingredients 
 
The menu is created and prepared by Veggie Planet's vegan cook Amie Swanson, who has worked under the tutelage of award-winning veg cookbook author chef Didi Emmons.  Amie was a cook at the illustrious vegan organic Angelica's Kitchen in NYC, as well as a vegan baker at Liz Lovely Cookies of Vermont.
 
$27 includes tax.  Service is extra.  Pay on site after the meal.  Cash or check (made out to Veggie Planet) only; No credit cards.
 
Seating is at friendly group tables, so never hesitate to arrive alone to a BVS dinner!
