The Puke 2013 -- UPDATED INFO

9:30 AM - 5:30 PM   Apr 7, 2013
(Clubs & Organizations)

The Puke is an event where drivers (Pukers) are divided into separate run groups of no more than 15 cars. Each group drives the course which is designed to connect many of the “twistiest” roads in San Diego County into a fun-filled experience that has been known to cause an occasional passenger to have “stomach discomfort”…hence the name. We will be inviting our friends from the Mini Club and the San Diego Roadsters Club to join us.

Start location:

Cool Hand Luke’s – 110 Knoll Rd., San Marcos, CA 92069

Directions: Exit Highway 78 at San Marcos Blvd. North on San Marcos Blvd to the first traffic signal and turn left onto Knoll Rd. Turn left at the first traffic signal entering the shopping center parking. Proceed ahead until you see the restaurant on the left.

Times:

9:30 am – Begin arriving at Cool Hand Luke’s to socialize in advance of the drivers meeting.

10 am – Drivers meeting – We will break drivers into groups of 10 to 15 cars each assigned to experienced Puke run leaders and sweep drivers. Then groups will be released to begin the course with each group alternating directions of the approximately 130 mile distorted figure eight course.

10:15 to 10:30 – Groups will begin exiting the parking lot to begin the Puke.

11 am – All groups will be on the course and driving.

Pit Stops:

There will be two pit stops during the running of the Puke. Each will be at Dudley’s Bakery in Santa Ysabel.

The Finish:

Finish: Between 2:30 and 3 pm, groups will begin arriving at our finish and hosts for a late lunch/early dinner, Mike’s BBQ in Escondido. The restaurant is prepared for our arrival, and we will be enjoying not only their menu but a meeting room all to ourselves. Order from their menu and enjoy the embellishments that come from all “Pukers”. Mike’s BBQ – 1356 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92029. www.mikesbbq.us
