descriptionsWhen you write in the description area for an event - where does that post? I don't see it on the calendar. Is there any documentation for forums? |

Re: descriptions When a user clicks on the event title, a pop-up will appear with the event description (unless you have a pop-up blocker?) Or, you can use one of the calendar "list views" (see the Publish button on the left menu). The list views show the title and description for all events. There aren't docs on the forums beyond what has been discussed here. What would you like assistance with? ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: descriptions To indicate to users that descriptions are a pop-up feature, where could I post information for them to allow pop-ups should they want to see further information? I will take a look at the list view as well, thank you. I am new to forums & we were looking for a way to simply leave messages to each other that all in our group could see and respond to (if I understand them correctly, a forum would be a good venue for what we are tyring to do.) But, I have no idea how to go about setting one up or how to use or facilitate it. Thanks for your help. |

Re: descriptions Under Options on the left menu, you can add text to your calendar header or footer. You might add the text, "Click on an Event Title for more information" Forums require a Premium Webmaster subscription. I've given you a free trial through March 20, 2007. If you do to http://www.localendar.com/forums/dance_calendar that is the location of your forums. As the forums owner, you'll want to click Administration and create the basic categories/forums that people can post it (look at these support forums for example: General Discussion, Known Problems, etc) Users of your site can go to http://www.localendar.com/forums/dance_calendar to post their messages. I would suggest taking advantage of the trial period to play around with it and see if it suits your needs. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
