biggrin   My wishes
My wishes for localendar (BTW, I absolutely love the way localendar looks on my website and how easy it is to use)

First wish would be in the images I would love to see a sports car (hopefully a Corvette, hint, hint, wink wink ).

Second wish, I wish the ads weren't there, but seeing they are and the only way to get rid of them is to pay, could they be put below the calendar not at the side? It would make embedded calendars look much nicer and not so cluttered with all the ads. I work for a non profit and all their profits go to local charities and families. So money is tight

Third wish which just came to mind, A subscription for just no ads. For people that don't need what is offered with the premium paid subscription. All they get is a calendar with no ads. You could call it the "the Cheapie" paid subscription" laughing laughing Thats what I wanted when I started my calendar way back, (BD=before ads) and was what I had until the "ads by google" appeared. I don't need or want all the other stuff.

Sounds like a good idea to me. biggrin

You know you can now upload your own clip art, right?
Read all about it in the faq. That's the "help" item in the standard list.

#2
Ya know, I decided 10 bucks a year was worth getting rid of the ads...as a paying customer, I rock, and am very happy.

#3
seriously, it's like 83 cents a month, to drop the ads...

Re: My wishes
Thanks Jamie. You do indeed rock. cool

More detail:

The FAQ explains including your own clipart using standard HTML. If you want to upload your clipart to the localendar site, you get that as part of the $9.95 annual subscription (along with ads being removed)

Re: My wishes
Guess wishes don't come true around here. If the website I maintain was owned by me I might pay to have the ads removed. I doubt it, But it isn't my site.

You're right $10 isn't much for the basic premium. But what about the people that don't need, want or will even use, a task editor, secure published calendar, ability to merge calendars, to import or export calendar, and 1 mg of space for the uploading images (1mg isn't that much). They just wanted a simple easy to use, no bells and whistles, calendar.
That was all I wanted and had when I started this calendar back in 2004.

I also did not post my wish list for the purpose of having someone (not support) preach to me about how wonderful the paid service is.

I made 3 wishes (suggestions) on a board that said "Have an idea for a new feature or improvement? Share it here!" Thats what I did.
BTW, (jamiecd77) if you are paying to not have ads on your calendar exactly why do you have google ads on your website?

Re: My wishes
you are absolutely right, I butted in, my apologies.

I actually have no life, so I jump into local forums and answer stuff when I can...it's kinda sad, now that I think of it...

I paid to get rid of the ads because

a: It messed up my strict size format,

b: they were competitor's of my site, by signing up for google adsense myself, I can (and do) filter competitor's.

I shall take more care not to make that mistake again.

Re: My wishes
jamiecd

I need to apologize also. I was having a bad day and you ended up on the receiving end.

I still think an option for just no ads and nothing else is a good idea. I understand the size format as I too have to deal with it.

I too have no life and am on forums reading alot and answering some questions just not here, Although I think I have answered 1 or 2 questions here.

again sorry biggrin

Re: My wishes
I dunno bout all that, but I work nights, so for me, this is the equivalent of surfing support forums at 2 in the morning, when you have to leave for work in a few hours...

lol, I have a life, it's all WORK
