Can the category check boxes that apear at the bottom of the calendar with the search botton be moved to the top of the calendar where people are more apt to see and use them.

Relocate (as in Move).. no

You could copy the HTML on these features and paste it into your calendar title as a hack (and if we ever change the way we implement these features, you'd need to update your workaround)
