Yes, you can use many of the freely available hit counters on your calendar. Just take the HTML they generate and paste it into your calendar's Title or Footer (under Options->General)

Sample sites include:
http://www.easycounter.com
http://www.tinycounter.com/
http://www.rapidcounter.com/

(or just Google "free hit counter")
