Edit this Post   Automatically view pop-up of private events instead of "edit event" screen? Reply to this Post

When you're logged into your calendar and click on an event, you're automatically taken to the "edit event" screen. If you want to view it as it would appear to the public, you press "Preview" and a pop-up box appears

My question is: Is there a way to click on your own events and view the entire description as a pop up? Or do you have to be taken to the "Edit" screen automatically?

I would like to view the long description of my private events in a pop-up by just clicking on it, rather than being taken to the edit screen (where you have to scroll down through the description) and then having to press "preview" to view the pop-up from there.

Does this make sense?

Yes; although it would require 2 links: 1 for viewing the event, and 1 for previewing it. This would clutter up the interface a bit (Maybe a mouse-over of the event title and description in a small window?)

You could have edit mode or a view mode that you toggle on the side, but I really like the mouse over idea...that would be great!

OK - maybe we can post a link of a prototype here and solicit some feedback from our users.

I would add that the 'printable' page might be able to see these too.
