Is there a guide on using the apparently new HTML features allowed in the Description area?

It no longer seems to accept a basic html code like:

<A
href="http://www.ottawabluesjazz.ca">Ottawa Blues & Jazz Guides</A>

It simply shows the entire code instead of producing a live link as it had earlier.

In tinkering with it, I did manage to produce a live link once, but have no idea how I did it and haven't been able to replicate.

Should be simpler to use especially for the html uninitiated and
a user friendly guide would help.

The idea was that people would be doing less html, now that many of the features are exposed via the buttons on the toolbar.

One of those buttons is "html", which if you click it, will open up a window where you can paste your html directly.

I agree though that some help will be nice to have.

OK, right now, it's mostly a trial & error and learning on the job process and clicking on buttons to see where that gets you.

Did you see my other post: We will be adding a preference (this weekend?) to allow you to set your Description box to be either "Classic" or "Advanced".

In the meantime, you can use this link when adding an event to get the "classic" editor:

Yes, I saw it.

Don't have a problem with the advanced it does some good stuff, although others who need more guidance using it effectively and are more cautious about learning through trial & error may.
