I have been successfully entering HTML code for web links for some time, but it no longer works. I used to be able to type the HTML code into the event and then when I previewed the hyper link would appear. Whenever I would go back to edit an event I could still see the HTML code that I entered. Now when I go to edit an event I can't see the HTML code, only the hyperlink resulting from the code. Furthermore, if I enter HTML code into a new event it doesn't work. Here is the code that you list in your help that doesn't work:
<a href="mailto:user@localendar.com">Send me an email</a>

Any help please

The new event description editor makes things a little cleaner, as you don't have to know HTML to do these sorts of things. If you want to add raw HTML to an event description, you can click the HTML button on the toolbar and paste your code into the secondary window that opens.

Here's how you do this with the new system..
1. Type some text like "Send me an email"
2. Highlight that text with your mouse
3. Click the link icon (looks like 2 links of a chain)
4. Edit where you want the link to go. This can be an email address (mailto:me@yahoo.com) or a web page (http://www.google.com). You can also set if you want it to open in a new window or not.

Working with raw HTML is admittedly quicker for expert users, but the new editor makes creating robust descriptions possible for a wider audience.

We are going to be adding a preference to switch back to the "Classic" editor: As a temporary hack, instead of using the link on the Add Event button:

to add an event, you can add an event with the old editor by pasting this link:
http://www.localendar.com/elsie?DAM=EventEditor&mode=classic

I'll work up something more permanent this weekend.

The link/unlink buttons don't seem to be active and are 'greyed'

Do you have to do anything to make them active?

OK, figured it out. Doesn't work until you do the highlighting.
