How do I go about adding a way to pay (such as a paypal button) to my events?

You can paste regular HTML into the events (click the small HTML button on the toolbar of the Description editor)

Paypal has a wizard on their site where you can generate the HTML for "Pay now" and "Send Money" features, etc.

Just paste this text into the HTML pop-up on the Event Editor
