The .ics files generated by my calendar at:http://www.congregationshirami.org/site/pages/testcalendar.html are not readable on my Mac by iCal. iCal generates the error message:

"This calendar file is unreadable. No events have been added to your iCal calendar."

Other Mac users in my group report the same problem.

I am able to import that fine into Outlook on Windows without any problems. Perhaps the Mac is looking for a some fields that aren't present/required for Windows.

Can you export a simple iCal file for a single event on your Mac and post the contents of the file here for me to compare?

I am using a trial calendar to see if our organization wants to proceed with a premium account. I am getting the same error message when trying to export to iCal on a Mac. Here is the content of the file that iCal does not recognize:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:2.0
PRODID:jquery.icalendar
BEGIN:VEVENT
TITLE:HWPN Monthly Meeting in NYC
DTSTART:20091021T230000Z
DTEND:20091022T010000Z
SUMMARY:HWPN Monthly Meeting in NYC
DESCRIPTION:HWPN Monthly Meeting in NYC
END:VEVENT
END:VCALENDAR

Thank you,

Bonnie

Would you please remove the

VERSION:2.0

line, resave, and try to re-import? I have seen some evidence that that value can cause the problem.

Please let me know what happens.
