Restore and Heal (45 min Yoga + 15 Min Meditation)

Moving in a gentle flow, we will explore our body's capabilities, to relax the body and to calm the mind, in preparation for meditation.

We explore different types of meditation, from Zazen, through single focus to insight meditation, often including special purpose meditations like Metta (Loving-kindness), Tonglen (Take and Give), healing meditation, etc. Some meditation will be guided and some will be left to the participants to explore.

Join us for an hour of exploration of yoga, essential oils, restorative yoga, breath awareness and mindful meditation. Renewal and healing for the stressed, anxious or exhausted.

Celebrate the Harvest with us, honoring our connection with each other and Mother Earth. Particular recognition of and focus on what each of us is 'harvesting' in our lives right now. This evening's event is about:

~ Havesting what we 'planted' at the time of the Spring Equinox
~ Strengthening personal and community commitments to Love, Peace and Unity through our group strength
~ Rejuvenating our Body, Mind and Spirit through deeply nurturing and nourishing indigenous tones of Tibetan Bowls, tongue drum, Medicine Drum, sacred vocals, and group chant;
~ Sharing with any spoken word, thoughts, poem song, etc. you feel are relevant;
~ Indulging in yummy celebratory chocolate (provided) - oh yes...always!!

Morning Energy Flow Yoga

Moving in a gentle flow, we will explore the Energy Body's capabilities, to open the flow of energy in our body and to re-establish connection among all parts of our bodies with full awareness.

Session program varies from class to class and includes many different postures and energy exercises (based on Energy Medicine principles)

Yoga for Cyclists

Cycling offers excellent cardiovascular benefits as well as muscular endurance and strength; however, many cyclists struggle with excess tension in the shoulders, back, and hips.

The repetitive nature of cycling bio-mechanics and the cycling posture itself create physical imbalances mental pressure to counteract these. 

Due to the typical cycling posture itself: seated, hands on the handlebars, and feet on the pedals, spine is flexed forward, and your neck slightly extends to keep your gaze forward on the road. Holding such posture for a long time creates physical imbalances and muscle tensions.

Our Yoga class will help you to regain your body balance to improve your breathing and its awareness and to release muscles that you habitually tense and/or overuse. We will also help you to become more aware your body, so you can take this awareness on your next ride!

Come join us at the LBC on Sundays at 10:00 AM.  First class on October 10!

Classes will be conducted by Julie Benoit of Elevated Yoga Studio.

Yoga for Moms with Stephanie

Come to rejuvenate and to restore your balance while your children are at school. Make it your own special time, a Yoga Thursday, and join Stephanie to let her guide you through this healing Yoga practice and a short meditation at the end of the class.  This class is open to anyone who needs to recharge in the middle of the week, to everyone who'd like to reconnect mind, body and spirit.
