Kaiut Yoga with Sue

Kaiut Yoga is an anti-aging, joint maintenance form of Hatha Yoga. It is developed to reverse injury, the effects of modern life’s patterns, and aging. Performed mostly on the floor, it targets the tissues and joints where trauma is deceptively hidden. If you are looking for a cardio workout, this is not it. However, if you are looking to regain activity in sports, outdoor activities or even just climb the stairs, Kaiut will help restore you to your former self.  Through a series of subtle movements you are taught how to relax into your restrictions to unwind them while rebuilding the soft tissues and muscles that support your joints. Regardless of age or body type, Kaiut Yoga is a practice that benefits every body. Developed by yoga teacher and chiropractor Francisco Kaiut, this method increases circulation, restores mobility, reduces pain, and improves the flow of energy through the body. If you think you can’t do yoga due to injury, aging, inflexibility or hypermobility, this practice is for you.

Restore and Heal (45 min Yoga + 15 Min Meditation) with Jennifer

Moving in a gentle flow, we will explore our body's capabilities, to relax the body and to calm the mind, in preparation for meditation.

We explore different types of meditation, from Zazen, through single focus to insight meditation, often including special purpose meditations like Metta (Loving-kindness), Tonglen (Take and Give), healing meditation, etc. Some meditation will be guided and some will be left to the participants to explore.

Gentle Vinyasa Flow with Jennifer

In this yoga class, we will create mindful sequences that focuses on moving from one posture to the next, using our breath to guide us. You can anticipate to experience both calm and swift energy throughout your practice. We will slowly build on each posture to create a fluid sequence. Using props and self-care is highly encouraged, and a gentle head massage may be offered in savasana. If you're new to Vinyasa yoga, or just enjoy a slower and more gentle practice, this class is for you.

*the extra 15 min. is to give time for a light head massage with essential oil in savasana, for those that want it.
