On any given weekend in Nakusp, between October and March, you will likely find a hockey game or tournament to take in at the Nakusp Sports Complex. Come out and support Minor Hockey! 50/50 draws, concession on site.  For most current scheduled games please visit www.nakuspminorhockey.com.

Nakusp's site is coordinated by the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy.  

Another free internet access point is at the Nakusp Public Library, next door to the Visitor Centre on 6th Ave.  Hours are Mon-Wed-Fri Noon-4:30 pm and Mon-Wed 7-9 pm, and Sat 10 am-4:30 pm.

Nakusp Outreach Employment Services will be hosting Career Day, Wednesday, November 4th, from 10 am - 3:30 pm, at their office at 205-6th Ave NW (Arrow & Slocan Lakes Community Services).  Community members will be speaking about Nakusp & area growth, development and anticipated trends for the future, including career and training opportunities.  Watch for a flyer in your postal box for a complete schedule of our guest speakers.  New funding is now available for retraining and personal supports to assist you in your return to work.  Free Draw for Gift Basket, Refreshments, For information call 250-265-3318.

Veterans and guests- refreshments in Lounge as well as luncheon followed by 'years of service' pin presentation and general camaraderie.

Nakusp's site is coordinated by the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy.

The Nakusp CAP Site (Community Access Program) provides free internet access to the public.  Nakusp's site is located in the rear of the School Board office at 98 - 6th Avenue NW - just up the street and around the corner from the Visitor Centre, Library and Museum.    Hours are posted at the entrance and on bulletin boards around town.
Nakusp's site is coordinated by the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy.  

Another free internet access point is at the Nakusp Public Library, next door to the Visitor Centre on 6th Ave.  Hours are Mon-Wed-Fri Noon-4:30 pm and Mon-Wed 7-9 pm, and Sat 10 am-4:30 pm.

Christmas Parade and Light-Up (Nakusp)
Santa is paraded into town on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7 pm - plan your float now! Christmas tree and street decorations will also be lit up tonight. Come and greet Santa and enjoy the live nativity, Christmas carols and refreshments around the Christmas tree after the parade.  Prizes for the Christmas Decorating Contest will also be awarded: Nominate Your Neighbour and Business Window Display.  To nominate your neighbour register for the Businees Widow Display judging, or register for the parade call 250-265-4234.
