Day&nbsp;1 of a 2 day class - you must take CIT level I and level II within 30 days of eachother to receive certification.<br /><br />CIT Training is the intervention training approved by DES/DDD and may be a required training per Article 9.&nbsp; Practical Training Solutions employs two State of Arizona Lead instructors to oversee and ensure the highest quality in all CIT classses.<br /><br />CIT teaches positive behavior intervention skills and techniques for responding safety to challenging behavior.&nbsp; CIT training is taught by a DES/DDD certified instructor.<br /><br />Cost: $50.00 per person (Total cost for CIT I and II)<br /><br /><strong>Course Topics Include:<br /></strong>Prevention of Challenging Behavior<br />Behavior as Communication<br />The CIT Hierarchy<br />Developing Positive Relationships<br />The ABC&#39;s of Behavior<br />Proactive and Reactive Strategies<br />Physical Interventions<br /><br /><strong>IMPORTANT NOTE:<br /></strong>CIT Training includes physical techniques.&nbsp; The participants must be in reasonably good health and capable of vigorous activity.&nbsp; CIT Is not recommended for people with certain physical conditions which may include, but is not limited to, knee injuries, back injuries, pregnancy, vertebrae fusion, spinal cord injuries or inability to use any body part normally.&nbsp; Participation in the class is &quot;at your own risk&quot;.<br /><br /><strong>Special Requirements for CIT:<br /></strong>Closed-toe/Closed-heel shoes (athletic shoes are usually best)<br />Clothing that is comfortable to more in, and that you will not be concerned if it becomes wrinkled or stretched<br />Clothing that is comfortable for sitting on the floor, squatting, bending, straddling etc.<br />You must be affiliated with a DES/DDD qualified vendor or DES/DDD to be certified in CIT (Client Intervention Training).]]></description>

Day&nbsp;1 of a 2 day class - you must take CIT level I and level II within 30 days of eachother to receive certification.<br /><br />CIT Training is the intervention training approved by DES/DDD and may be a required training per Article 9.&nbsp; Practical Training Solutions employs two State of Arizona Lead instructors to oversee and ensure the highest quality in all CIT classses.<br /><br />CIT teaches positive behavior intervention skills and techniques for responding safety to challenging behavior.&nbsp; CIT training is taught by a DES/DDD certified instructor.<br /><br />Cost: $50.00 per person (Total cost for CIT I and II)<br /><br /><strong>Course Topics Include:<br /></strong>Prevention of Challenging Behavior<br />Behavior as Communication<br />The CIT Hierarchy<br />Developing Positive Relationships<br />The ABC&#39;s of Behavior<br />Proactive and Reactive Strategies<br />Physical Interventions<br /><br /><strong>IMPORTANT NOTE:<br /></strong>CIT Training includes physical techniques.&nbsp; The participants must be in reasonably good health and capable of vigorous activity.&nbsp; CIT Is not recommended for people with certain physical conditions which may include, but is not limited to, knee injuries, back injuries, pregnancy, vertebrae fusion, spinal cord injuries or inability to use any body part normally.&nbsp; Participation in the class is &quot;at your own risk&quot;.<br /><br /><strong>Special Requirements for CIT:<br /></strong>Closed-toe/Closed-heel shoes (athletic shoes are usually best)<br />Clothing that is comfortable to more in, and that you will not be concerned if it becomes wrinkled or stretched<br />Clothing that is comfortable for sitting on the floor, squatting, bending, straddling etc.<br />You must be affiliated with a DES/DDD qualified vendor or DES/DDD to be certified in CIT (Client Intervention Training).]]></description>
