(Sun, 01 Nov 2009 2 PM - 4 PM EST) Whether we work out of our homes, at an outside location or are stay at home moms, we all work. And some moms are working hard toward a degree, taking care of older children, or other goals that prevent them from connecting from other women in a similar life situation. Furthermore, there are different challenges for each situation. This group addresses the unique challenges that moms face in these conditions. Please join us in sharing your stories, including your victories and joys, concerns and questions. As always, all moms are welcome. If you are unable to go to the gatherings during the week, this one is for you. This group will be facilitated by moms who have experience working outside the home and juggling many different situations.

Patchwork Families @ Everybody Reads

(Thu, 12 Nov 2009 6 PM - 8 PM EST) A gathering for people who have had to start over...making it work on your own as you rebuild and move forward in life with your children.

Life doesn't always follow in the direction you expect when you start a family. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you have to start again. Divorce, death, an amicable parting of ways, whatever the reason, you now find yourself parenting alone and you are faced with many new challenges. This group provides a safe place where we can conquer our fears, share our experiences and triumphs through the most difficult times, and hopefully build a new network and concept of family. Whether you are at the beginning of your journey, trying to figure out how to make everything work, or the seasoned veteran who has found a new partner and is trying on a new family structure, you are welcome here.

Due to the nature of this group, it is requested that children not be present during discussion. If you are unable to find childcare during this time but would like to attend, please let us know in advance.

Red Tent Gathering-ON HIATUS

Although not religous in nature there is a hope that everyone who walks away at the end of the evening will feel connected to something greater than themselves and feel nourished spiritually. All women are welcome and every woman's walk of life is honored at the Red Tent! The Red Tent gathering is the 2nd Friday of every month from 7-10pm. Lap babies are welcome. This gathering is facilitated alternately by attenders of the group.
