Puppy 101 -- Basic Manners,Puppy Agility, AKC S.T.A.R.

This class is open to all puppies up to one year of age. Teach your pup basic manners: sit come, stay, walk on a leash, etc., along with some fun puppy agility. After completion of the six week class, your pup will be eligible to take the AKC's new S.TA.R. test and earn a beautiful certificate, medal and more. S.T.A.R stands for: Socialization, Training, Activity Responsibility. All pups (purebred and mix breed) are eligible to earn the S.TA.R. certificate.

Clicker Fun, Rally and More! May Drop-in

(Mon, 02 Nov 2009 7 PM - 8 PM EST) Come learn tricks, scent work and rally obedience in this new fun class. Learn to use a clicker or hone your clicker skills while teaching your dog a new trick, how to use its nose, or a rally sign. Basic obedience is all that is needed to join this class. Rally exercises will be bothe AKC and APDT. C-WAGS obedience signs, freestyle dance steps and finding lost articles are just some of the things that will be taught. Each week will be a new experience in this new fun and exciting class. We may even do a little agility !

Agility 101 - Intro to Obstacles

Dogs will be introduced to all of the agility equipment in this entry level class. This class is open to all dogs six months of age and older. All of the equipment and jump bars will be kept low. Very little handling will be taught in this introductory class.

All dog and handler teams should be able to negotiate full sized equipment and jumps. Unless given permission by the instructor dogs should be able to negotiate all equipment including the seesaw and weave poles.

Advanced Competition Agility -- a drop in class

The emphasis of thise class will be handling skills to help the dog run a shorter tighter course. Dogs must be able to perform all agility obstacles at full height.
