    Lunch & Learn Series

    'What's Good for People? Moving from Wellness to Well-Being'

    Speaker: Betsy Leto, Knoll, Inc.

    More Details

    Due to looming talent shortages and increased healthcare costs, organizations across the globe are concentrating efforts to ensure the sustainability of their most important asset: their people. An organization's workplaces, work processes and work practices comprise an ecosystem that has the potential to enhance employee well-being and thus, organizational performance. Research shows that happy, healthy and engaged employees produce more and cost less. Attendees to this lunch and learn can expect to:

     - Learn a brief history of wellness and the move to well-being in the workplace;
     - Recognize the obvious and hidden costs of poor health and well-being;
     - Discover workplace strategies that address employees' physical, emotional and social well-being; and
     - Review examples of how local Seattle-area companies are addressing wellness and well-being in the workplace.

    Our speaker, Betsy, works for Knoll, Inc. and uses a holistic approach based on Knoll workplace research and individual company culture to help organizations create environments where people aspire to do their best work. She has a background in interior design, is an accredited office ergonomics evaluator, and has worked in project management and workplace strategy for major organizations including Google, Tiffany & Co., Tableau and the London Stock Exchange Group
