DESCRIPTION:It was Wed. March 26\, 1997 when the first Unitarian Universali
 st sermon was preached in Texoma.  Held at the Small Chapel on the Austin 
 College campus some 40 souls gathered to hear a sermon Why Is There No Sho
 uting In The Sanctuary preached by our own Doug Strong\, who then was the 
 minister at Dallas North Unitarian Church (now Community UU Church) in Pla
 no. The seeds were planted and look at where we are today - a well establi
 shed\, lay-led Unitarian Universalist Congregation - still the sole voice 
 for liberal religion in Texoma.
