BRAZILECTRO, the newest Latin Jazz band in Redding is performing at Old City Hall on Nov. 1^st  at 7PM. The concept for this band was developed by Noel Ross and Dave Short. The band captures the sensuous and mellow sounds of the 60's Bossa Nova era in Rio. Bernie Baker's guitar sets the mood, and the rest is left to a great rhythm section of percussionist Dwayne Corbin, pianist John Gonsalves, and the very versatile Bruce Calin on bass.  Tickets are just $10 at Bernies Guitar and the Arts Council.

Olga Alvarez - Friday October 2nd - Please join Olga at the Silk Purse Gallery ( Fator Framing) Redding for a reception and exhibit. The reception is from 6 to 8 pm on October 2nd. The exhibit will start September 29 and will hang until January.

In each 3-week session, artist Troy Hawkins will teach students a different medium. Students will explore and practice using the materials in a safe, nurturing environment. We encourage free expression and allow each child to do his or her own art. Dress to be messy!
